The Delivery Technology Working Group (DT WG) provides a platform for industry and the public sector to engage in constructive dialogue on the presentation, packaging, and delivery of existing and new vaccine products, to raise awareness and harness the potential of new innovations.

The DT WG reports directly to IPAC, and its mission is to maximize appropriateness of immunization products for public-sector use. Stand-alone delivery technologies, novel primary containers, combination vaccine/device products, and other alternative delivery technologies are within the purview of the working group.

The DT WG provides a written report of activities to IPAC on a quarterly basis and will present on progress at the face-to-face IPAC meetings. Where possible, the working group will also publish outputs from the DT WG’s activities and make these available through the TechNet web-based interface to encourage discussion of topics on delivery technologies and innovation.

For further information, please contact the WG chairs Birgitte Giersing, Technical officer in the department of Immunization, Vaccines and Biologicals (giersingb@who.int) or Darin Zehrung, Program Advisor, Vaccine and Pharmaceutical Technologies, PATH (dzehrung@path.org).
