Dear TechNet Community   Since the endorsement of the decade-long Global Vaccine Action Plan (GVAP) by the World Health Assembly (WHA) in 2012, the WHO Secretariat is mandated to produce and disseminate each year an annual report that analyses progress towards achieving the various GVAP goals and objectives. This is done by reporting on key performance indicators for immunization in what is known as the GVAP Secretariat Report (see 2013 report).   The draft report for 2014 is now circulating for comments and this year’s report includes a short analysis of the WHO-UNICEF Joint-Reporting-Form indicator relating the national level stockouts of vaccines (attached). This analysis was produced by the WHO-UNICEF Immunization Supply Chain Hub. In addition, the Hub is working closely with the WHO Secretariat on data visualization as can be seen below.   Click for Data Visualization in Tableau   Although this global indicator is imperfect in many ways, and intensified work is required to improve our ability to monitor supply chain indicators, this initial analysis for the GVAP Secretariat Report marks the beginning of an effort by the Hub to improve our global monitoring system to track performance of supply chains in countries.   Any feedback from the TechNet Community is most welcome!
