In 2016, Bull City Learning – the team behind Immunization Academy – redeveloped the World Health Organization’s African Regional training course for mid-level immunization managers. The course was first developed in 2000 to address the skills needed for program staff to manage immunization programs at the national and sub-national level, but by 2016, an update was in order.

This October, the Pan African Medical Journal published a project evaluation of the MLM coursewritten by WHO’s Balcha Maresha, Carine Dochez and Richard Mihigo, in partnership with Bull City Learning’s Alice Bumgarner and Nathan Pienkowski. The evaluation outlines key lessons learned, the process of revising the course materials, and recommendations for future immunization program capacity building initiatives.
