The newly launched Global Financing Facility (GFF) for Every Woman Every Child is a bold initiative coordinating a mix of donor funds, loans, and domestic financing for the purpose of accelerating country efforts to end preventable maternal, child, and infant deaths by 2030. Health supplies and the supply chain systems that deliver them, however, are often afterthoughts in these efforts. “Global Financing Facility: Advancing Smartly Means Keeping an Eye on Family Planning Products and the Supply Chains that Deliver Them,” a new blog post at The Pump, JSI’s online hub for public health news and opinion, focuses on this issue and acts as a reminder that the sort of work performed by the USAID | DELIVER PROJECT is essential in closing the US $33.3 billion annual financing gap for reproductive, maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health.
