POST 00757E : MEASLES : A FAITH-BASED INITIATIVE 24 February 2005 _____________________________________ Bob Davis (mailto:[email protected]) from UNICEF/ESARO has sent a presentation already circulated to a limited audience mainly in Africa. Prepared by Terry Morris (Later Day Saints - Mormons), it presents a Church Initiative in support of a measles campaign in Madagascar. It is likely to raise many questions. It's a heavy file though at 3.9 MB that can be downloaded from the TechNet site at the following URL : http://www.technet21.org/MeaslesInitiative.ppt It will be hosted for about two weeks before being removed. _____________________________________ This Power Point covers familiar ground on the use of faith-based organizations (FBO) in promoting mass campaigns. In countries which are religiously heterogeneous, longer lead times are needed to assure participation of all faiths. In all countries, FBOs need a place at the table when district microplanning is done. Bob ----------------------- NOTE : There seems to be another "Netsky" outbreak. Can I remind all members to remain very careful when opening unsollicitated attachments and to have the necessary tools installed on their computer. ______________________________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________ Visit the TECHNET21 Website at http://www.technet21.org You will find instructions to subscribe, a direct access to archives, links to reference documents and other features. ______________________________________________________________________________ To UNSUBSCRIBE, send a message to : mailto:[email protected] Leave the subject area BLANK In the message body, write unsubscribe TECHNET21E ______________________________________________________________________________ The World Health Organization and UNICEF support TechNet21.
