We strongly encourage all members to share any practical experience with using one of the two softwares previously presented _________________________________ Re.: The WHO Vaccine Stock Management package. I have the following questions to the authors: 1. Has the package been discussed with any officials of the respective Ministries of Finance in the countries, where field studies of the package were conducted? Will the countries still have to fill out manually a stock book in order to satisfy the auditors from the Ministry of Finance? 2. What about audit trail? Once a posting is "finalized", can it then be edited or erased? 3. What about renewal/up-grading ? - i.e.: a data file that was created with a previous version, will it automatically be updated to the new format once a new version of the package has been downloaded? 4. Any specific reason for choosing spreadsheets for making the package, instead of for example dBase? If you would kindly reply to these questions, we might be able to have a proper discussion of the package, and thus a proper launching of the package.
