POST 01207E : MEASLES 23 December 2007 __________________________________ As of this month, 4 of WHO's 6 regions had committed themselves to regional measles elimination. This month, the AFRO Task Force on Immunization, covering the 46 WHO member states of subsaharan Africa, passed the following recommendation: "The region should convene the measles Technical Advisory Group in view of reviewing the measles mortality reduction goals and the eventuality of a regional elimination programme."
