This question has come up a number of times in Technet correspondence as well as in UNICEF and ADB GAVI missions. Many of us are helping countries with planning and financing TA and a number of countries wish to continue to use the steam sterilizers and sterilisable syringe and kits. If you can help with clarifying the supply position it would be appreciated. regards and best wishes, allan --- From: [log in to unmask] Date: Fri, 06 Jul 2001 To: Allan Bass Subject: Steam Sterilizer Supply Dear Allan, In reference to your question about the steam sterilizers specific for vaccination (item S0152000 Sterilizer, double rack, steam, manual /EA and item S0152010 Sterilizer, single rack, steam, manual/EA) I would like to inform you that except in extraordinary circumstances to be reviewed on a case-to-case basis, UNICEF SD will not supply steam sterilisers for EPI use after 2003. Spare parts and sterilisable syringes (incl. kits) will still be available for a limited period in order to facilitate full transition to AD syringes Thank you for your attention.
