The 15th TechNet Conference will take place from October 16-20th at the Hotel Cascais Miragem in Cascais, Portugal. This year’s theme is:
Building the next generation of immunization supply chains
The Hotel Cascais Miragem is now fully booked. An Administrative Note has been prepared that provides a list of alternative hotel accommodation options, as well as other useful information such as directions to the conference venue.
Please note that registration for the 15th TechNet Conference closed on 7 August, 2017.
As at the previous TechNet Conference in Bangkok, events at this year’s TechNet Conference will be divided into the formal agenda (plenary and interactive presentations) and side events (Manufacturers Marketplace, Innovations Cafe, Project Gallery, TechNet-21 Clinic, and Resource Library). The overall intention will be to facilitate:
- North-south exchanges on innovative technologies and approaches to ensure vaccine supply chain logistic systems reach the fifth child.
- South-north & south-south exchanges on field and country experiences relating to immunization supply chain and logistics strengthening within the context of new vaccine introduction and the deployment of new technologies and approaches to achieve coverage and equity objectives.
- South-north exchanges to help the global level shape and prioritize efforts as we count-down to 2020.
Vaccine and equipment manufacturers will showcase their latest devices, products and cold chain technologies, including temperature monitoring devices, in the Manufacturers Marketplace area of the TechNet Conference.
We have launched an Expression of Interest and please respond by June 5th. Background note. Manufacturers who wish to participate in the Manufacturers Marketplace can use the Expression of Interest to request a dedicated space for their company.
Exciting innovations that can improve immunization supply chains at country level will be showcased in the Innovations Café area of the TechNet Conference. The latest non-proprietary and open-access innovations will be presented by experts who will provide a hands-on demonstration of the innovation and facilitate informal discussions with conference participants.
Posters on a wide variety of immunization projects and initiatives will be presented in the Poster Gallery. Short presentations on selected posters will be given at scheduled times.
