The Effective Vaccine Management (EVM) assessment provided a remarkable opportunity to unite our subnational colleagues from different governorates into a cohesive team. Their enthusiasm and dedication throughout the process are truly inspiring, as they embraced their roles and responsibilities with a sense of ownership. This experience not only deepened their engagement with the system but also instilled a newfound confidence, as they recognized the significance of their insights and contributions to the success of the endeavor. Moreover, the assessment served as a dynamic platform for knowledge-sharing and exchanging best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement in vaccine management practices.

One of the most notable outcomes of the EVM assessment was its ability to broaden our perspective on the interconnectedness of the entire immunization supply chain. While working at the national level often provides a clearer picture, at the subnational level, individuals may primarily focus on their specific tasks without fully understanding the broader implications. For instance, someone responsible for vaccine stocks may not typically concern themselves with the maintenance of refrigerator trucks, assuming that responsibility lies elsewhere. However, through the assessment process, they gain a deeper appreciation for the critical linkages within the supply chain and the importance of each component's role. This realization not only enhances their understanding but also strengthens their commitment to ensuring the integrity of the entire system.

Indeed, the EVM assessment transcended its primary purpose of evaluating the system; it served as a transformative experience that underscored the interconnectedness and interdependence of all aspects of immunization supply. This perspective will undoubtedly contribute to the resilience and effectiveness of our immunization programs in the future.
