Cross-posted from http://deliver.jsi.com/ with thanks! Risk management for public health supply chains focuses on how to organize the logistics activities of the supply chain in order to ensure that commodities needed for health programs are continuously available, without disruption. The USAID | DELIVER PROJECT, Task Order 4, developed the toolkit below to introduce risk management activities for health programs in developing countries. Risk management is not limited to a single occasion. It is a continuous process of assessing and responding to risk within the supply chain. This toolkit can provide public health supply chain managers in developing countries with a simple process for identifying and analyzing the sources of risk within the supply chain and for developing a robust response to manage risk. In this toolkit, you will find— Risk Management for Public Health Supply Chains: Toolkit for Identifying, Analyzing, and Responding to Supply Chain Risk in Developing Countries (PDF) This guide introduces risk management activities for health programs in developing countries and should be used in conjunction with the case studies, PowerPoint workshop, facilitator's notes, and Excel tool. http://deliver.jsi.com/dlvr_content/resources/allpubs/guidelines/RiskMgmtTool.xlsm TRAC_DST is a macro-driven, Excel-based database, visualization, and decision analysis tool developed to aid risk evaluation, generation of risk treatment options, and risk performance monitoring in global and public health supply chains. http://deliver.jsi.com/dlvr_content/resources/allpubs/guidelines/RMActivSessNote.docx These notes should be used together with the PowerPoint presentation titled Workshop: Developing a Risk Management Plan.
