Under the leadership of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency, Nigeria launched its plan to introduce the human papillomavirus vaccine into its routine immunization system to protect the next generation of girls from cervical cancer.

California Vaccination Campaign Recognized for Content Marketing Award

 

The JSI-developed “Vaccines are Another Part of Growing Up” campaign won an honorable mention in the Public Health Campaign category of Ragan's PR Daily 2023 Content Marketing Awards. The campaign was created with community members to normalize routine vaccination in one of California's most populous counties.

Identifying Key Themes, Opportunities, and Gaps in the Effort to Reach Zero-Dose Children

 

The JSI-led Zero-Dose Learning Hub conducted landscape analyses in four countries to identify opportunities and knowledge gaps in the effort to reach zero-dose children. Despite differences between Bangladesh, Mali, Nigeria, and Uganda, the landscapes offer practitioners findings they can apply to their own zero-dose work.

Increasing Access to COVID-19 Vaccines

From Doubt to Determination: Overcoming Vaccine Hesitancy and Mobilizing Youth at Lagos State University

 

Damilare Ojo, a student at Lagos State University in Nigeria, was vaccinated against COVID-19 during a campus immunization drive conducted by MOMENTUM Routine Immunization Transformation and Equity. Damilare then became an advocate for the vaccination, working with the project to encourage his peers to get vaccinated, too.

Transportation providers and their passengers are vulnerable to COVID-19 and are potential agents of widespread transmission. In Kenya and India, MOMENTUM Routine Immunization Transformation and Equity used transport hubs to share information about and increase access to vaccination.
