POST 00461E : FREEZE-WATCH ACTIVATION PROBLEM Follow-up on Posts 00430E and 00453E 8 June 2002 ____________________________________________________ Following the posting POST00453E on Freeze Watch activation problems both TechNet and WHO received some feedback from national immunization programmes and individuals. We would like to thank to Dr. Birhan Altay from Turkey for bringing this issue to our attention at first place. We would also like to thank all individuals providing feedback. WHO has contacted the Berlinger SA (distributor) and 3M (manufacturer) to investigate the complaints. We will be informing TechNet members of the outcome. In the meantime, TechNet secretariat has decided not to post incoming feedback since all will be feeding into the ongoing evaluation of Freeze Watches. However, we would like to encourage organizations and individuals to directly contact Dr. Ümit Kartoglu (mailto:[log in to unmask]) at WHO if similar performance problems are observed/documented. Thank you for your usual cooperation and understanding. _________________________________________________________________ ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- CONTRIBUTIONS: Contributions to: or use your reply button!
