NEED HELP regarding the video Placing VCQI Files from TechNet-21
Resolved Locked Unanswered
Dear,
I followed the video “Placing VCQI Files from TechNet-21”, after having Stata on my computer
There are 2 problems that might appear to many people currently installing it so I would like please you tell me if there is a current issue while installing the updated version of VCQI.
At min 6.00 of the video, there is a “default_profile.do” in the LIBRARY (zip but not in the unziped new folder where the same name file is a pdf). When we copy it (from the zip folder) in another folder it become a pdf automatically.
There is no “personal” folder on the “ado” but only a “base” folder.
Note that I am using a one month Stata program (Stata 15 shared via WHO), and when I downloaded it the "ado" folder was created automatically not in the “C” but in “C:\Program Files (x86)”. Not sure if these info help or not ...
At the end I can NOT use VCQI because the 2 points above are not as in the video.
Please could you help me or at least run the VCQI from a computer not having it and see if it happens the same to you?
Thanks
Best wishes
Nicolas

Here are answers I got which allowed me to move on to the next step, thanks to the VCQI members

default_profile.do was shared

That .pdf conversion thing is a weird glitch on MY computer, I suspect…some setting that your PDF software may have done? Or the default application for .do files?

I simply make a new folder called ‘personal’ in my c:/ado folder, via the windows file explorer.
Make it the same way you would make any other new folder.

Thanks again
