PtD webinar: Community health assistants and supply chains in Liberia

Join PtD as we bring together the Community Health Impact Coalition, VillageReach, the government of Liberia, USAID and community health workers (CHWs) to examine the supply chain barriers that prevent CHWs from fulfilling their roles and providing patients with access to health supplies in Liberia.

 

The webinar will centre on the application of PtD’s Human resources for supply chain management theory of change in Liberia, which was used to examine CHWs in their capacity as members of the supply chain workforce.

Latest article

EAC countries agree to professionalise health supply chain workforce

On 7 June the Sensitisation meeting on professionalisation of the health supply chain in the EAC region drew to close in Kigali with all heads of partner state delegations signing a report setting out the regional professionalisation roadmap.

 

By signing the roadmap Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania and Zanzibar have committed to implementing the activities needed to professionalise their supply chain workforces.

A look back at SAPICS

Health a priority at this year’s conference

 

For the first time this year’s SAPICS conference featured a public health supply chain track, offering development agencies, donor organisations and non-governmental organisations the chance to discuss strategies to reach Agenda 2030 and universal health coverage with private sector supply chain partners. 

One of the stand-out panel discussions was Getting practical with supply chain professionalisation, which, moderated by Management Science for Health’s Andrew Brown, featured PtD’s executive manager Dominique Zwinkels.
