Dear colleagues and partners, 

We are writing to formally invite you to the Eliminate Yellow fever Epidemics (EYE) Strategy Annual Partners’ Meeting, from the 19th to 21st March 2024 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. This meeting has now been officially approved by the Ministry of Health.   

We are keen for as many people to join us in person as possible. This will be our first occasion to do so since the 2019 Annual Partners’ Meeting, and there will be many opportunities for in-person discussions and networking during our time together.

Unless previously notified, travel costs and other expenses will not be covered by the EYE Secretariat. To help us with our planning, including block booking accommodation and dietary requirements for participants, please complete the following registration no later than 19th February 2024https://indico.un.org/event/1009573/ 

Registration

Registration is on the UN's Indico platform. If you do not already have an Indico account, you will be asked to create one.

Then you must choose from one of the following categories:

  • Self-Funded Participant - for participants (not WHO staff) who will be self-funding their attendance. 

  • WHO Staff Self-Funded - for WHO staff who will be self-funding their attendance. 

  • Online Participant - for participants joining the meeting online / remotely. A Zoom link will be shared closer to the time of the meeting. (No passport details required). 

  • Funded by EYE - for participants (not WHO staff) who have been informed that their attendance will be funded by the EYE Strategy.

  • WHO Staff funded by EYE - for WHO staff who have been informed that their attendance will be funded by the EYE Strategy.

Accommodation

Hotel rooms are being reserved for registered participants in the Radisson Blu Hotel, 17, Kazanchis Business District Kirkos Subcity, 18, Addis Ababa 1000, Ethiopia. Please note this may be subject to change. 

Visas

For those participants requiring visas, you must be registered via the Indico link by no later than the 19th February 2024 - we urge you to do this as soon as possible and ideally before the deadline to avoid any issues with visa processing. Once we receive your registration, we will submit your pre-visa approval for you. Once this is approved by the Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, we will inform you of the next steps to apply and pay for your visa online. 

An agenda and further information will follow shortly. We are excited to see you in March, and thank you for your ongoing engagement in the EYE Strategy.
