Good morning colleagues,
For cold chain capacity assessment, first and foremost updating of the cc
inventory is important. Then identify your -ve and +ve storage space base on
your vaccine needs.

Australia has recently published National Vaccine Storage Guidelines. Parts
of it may assist with this enquiry. It is available at:

There is a substantial amount of background documentation used in the
development of the national vaccine storage guidelines which are
proceedings of a national Australian workshop:

Back in 1990/91 when I was building up Egypt's EPI there was a Excel spread
sheet or programme which some body developed, you entered the extra
capacity required and it worked out where and by how many new
refrigerators/freezers would be required. For it to work you had to enter
the capacity of all Cold rooms, refrigerators/freezers and location in the
system.
I don't have copy any more but ask John Lloyd, he should remember it.
Regards,
John Pott
