1. You agree that by registering, accessing or using the TechNet-21 website (TechNet-21) you agree to bound by these Terms of Use. The World Health Organization (WHO) reserves the right to update these Terms of Use without notice.
  2. TechNet-21 is intended for the use of registered users, for the purpose of sharing information about immunization and related matter, in an interactive and collaborative manner. You agree not to violate the intellectual property rights of others, including copyrights, patents, trademarks, trade secrets, or other proprietary rights. For example, do not copy or distribute (except through the available sharing functionality) the posts or other content of others without their permission.
  3. If you are invited and granted access to a closed group such as the National Authorities for Containment (of Poliovirus), you agree that content within that group is only for the internal use of members of that group and may not be disclosed, shared, distributed or transmitted to persons outside the user community of that group, or duplicated, republished, reused for presentation or used in any other way, including for advertising or commercial purposes, without the prior written consent of WHO.
  4. You acknowledge and agree that while WHO requires users of TechNet-21 to not violate the intellectual property rights of others, WHO is not responsible for others’ misuse or violation of your intellectual property rights of any content you share on the site.
  5. You agree to only disclose content or information that you are permitted to and that does not violate any rights (including intellectual property rights). You will not disclose any confidential information of others, including your employer. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless WHO from any loss, damage or claim, including legal costs and fees, arising from your breach of this obligations.
  6. You agree that you will act in a respectful and professional manner when using TechNet- 21. You agree that you will note create a false identity, misrepresent your identity or create a user profile for anyone other than yourself, or use an another’s account.
  7. You agree that you will not share your username or password or other account details with anyone else.
  8. You agree that you will not use TechNet-21:
    • to harass, intimidate or abuse others
    • to send unwelcome communications to other users (e.g., spam, junk mail, sexually explicit content)
    • to attack other users on the bases of their race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, religious or political affiliations, or medical or physical condition
    • to further or promote illegal activities or products
    • to commit fraud
    • for political activities
    • in, or in an association with, any product marketing, promotional, or commercial activities
    • to intentionally distribute viruses or other software that can destroy or interrupt other user’s data or devices
    • in any way which is contrary to the policies and principles of WHO and/or which might otherwise jeopardize the name or reputation of WHO, its special programmes, and/or its research projects

    WHO reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to TechNet-21at anytime if we believe that you have engaged in or facilitated any of the above-listed behavior or breached any obligations set out in this Terms of Use.

  9. The views expressed in TechNet-21 are those of the authors or user of TechNet 21 and do not necessarily reflect those of WHO.
  10. In no event shall WHO be responsible for the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of information or advice posted by any user on TechNet-21. WHO makes no warranties or representations regarding the completeness or accuracy of any content posted on TechNet-21 and shall not be held liable for any damages whatsoever as a result of its use or application. The responsibility for the interpretation and use of the content lies with the reader and/or user.
  11. WHO reserves the right to make updates and changes to posted content without notice and accepts no liability for any errors or omissions in this regard.
  12. TechNet-21 may contain links to resources on external websites. WHO is not responsible for the accuracy or content of any external link. The presence of any resource or external link on the TechNet-21 does not imply that the resource, or its author or entity, is endorsed or recommended by the WHO. These links are provided for convenience only.
  13. The designations employed and the presentation of content on TechNet-21, including maps and other illustrative materials, do not imply the expression of any opinion whatsoever on the part of WHO concerning the legal status of any country, territory, city or area, or of its authorities, or concerning the delineation of frontiers and borders. Dotted lines on maps represent approximate border lines for which there may not yet be full agreement.

Except where WHO expressly states as such, the mention of specific companies or of certain manufacturers' products does not imply that they are endorsed or recommended by WHO in preference to others of a similar nature that are not mentioned. WHO may, from time to time, refer to or share content from WHO-sites, such as the WHO PQS Catalogue.   15. WHO may add or remove functions, features, or requirements to TechNet-21 and may suspend or stop TechNet-21 or any part thereof at any time at its sole discretion.
  16. WHO shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising directly or indirectly in connection with, or resulting from, your use of the TechNet-21.
  17. You shall indemnify, hold harmless, and defend at your own expense WHO, its officers, agents, and employees from and against any claims, demands, causes of action, and liability of any nature or kind resulting from or relating to your use of the TechNet-21.
  18. Any dispute relating to the interpretation or application of these Terms of Use or your use of TechNet-21 in any other respect shall, unless amicably settled, be subject to conciliation. In the event of failure of the latter, the dispute shall be settled by arbitration. The arbitration shall be conducted in accordance with the modalities to be agreed upon by the parties or, in the absence of agreement, in accordance with the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules. The parties shall accept the arbitral award as final.
  19. Nothing contained herein or related to TechNet-21 in any respect shall be construed as a waiver of any of the privileges and immunities enjoyed by WHO under national or international law, and/or as submitting the WHO to any national court jurisdiction.
