POST 01054E : DILUENTS 16 February 2007 ________________________________________ Vijay Kiran (mailto:[email protected]) from India has the following two questions here below. ________________________________________ Dear TechNet, We stress on the need to use correct diluents for reconstitution and also inform the health functionaries to use the diluents supplied from the same manufacturer, the same batch number. My questions are, 1. What happens if we use a different diluent, for example, using normal saline to reconstitute Measles vaccine, and double distilled water to BCG. 2. What happens if we use the diluent from a different manufacturer. Thank you, Dr. Vijay Kiran Country Representative IMMUNIZATIONbasics New Delhi. ______________________________________________________________________________ All members of the TechNet21 e-Forum are invited to send comments on any posting or to use the forum to raise a new discussion or request technical information in relation to immunization services.
